Common Questions
FAQ’S
Yes, of course. In fact, a large number of our customers are based in the USA, and we’ve also made, delivered and installed our carpets for customers in the Middle East and other overseas regions. Under certain circumstances we can even measure your space and provide a cost estimate too, with no obligation to go ahead and place an order.
We’re passionate about creating designs that exactly match the very specific wishes and personal tastes of our customers, and colour matching is crucial to this. The best way to achieve the perfect match is to send us samples of the colours you’d like us to use, or you could provide swatches of fabric or paint charts. We’ll be very happy to discuss colours with you – just ask.
Absolutely. We’re very proud of our work and the exceptional people behind it, and the sight of our looms in action is something truly rare and extraordinary. Because of this, we actively encourage visits to our mill, and many of our customers have taken us up on the offer. With a little forward planning, you could even witness your own bespoke carpet being made.
Certainly you can. If you’d like to send us a request or design brief by email, we can look through our unique archive of exclusive patterns and styles. Alternatively, we can create something completely bespoke based on your brief. Whichever route you choose, we’ll send ideas and samples to help you decide on a final design.
The cost of your carpet will depend on a number of variables, including its dimensions, design and quality. Once these elements have been discussed and agreed, we’ll provide you with an estimate and ask you to pay a deposit of 50%. We’ll ask you to settle the remainder of the bill before dispatch. Because our customers include institutions and venues as well as private buyers, we do offer a degree of flexibility in our terms. Please just ask.
Our bespoke carpets are meticulously made and finished using time-honoured techniques and 200-year-old looms. As we’re sure you’ll appreciate, this isn’t a process to rush. We ask customers to allow 12 weeks from the point at which they pay their deposit, which itself happens when final designs are approved.
